Raw Blue Kyanite & Recycled Sterling Silver Pendant
A striking one-of-a-kind pendant featuring raw blue kyanite, handmade in 100% recycled sterling silver.
The kyanite has been left uncut and only lightly polished, preserving its naturally elongated shape, texture and beautiful variations of blue. Shades of soft silvery blue, denim and deeper blue run through the stone, giving it a wonderfully organic character.
Rather than cutting the kyanite into a conventional gemstone shape, I wanted to celebrate its natural form. I made a simple three-claw setting by hand from 100% recycled sterling silver, designed specifically around this individual stone and leaving as much of the kyanite visible as possible.
The back of the setting is open, allowing you to see the stone itself as well as the handmade silver framework.
Because this setting has been created around this individual piece of raw kyanite, there will only ever be one exactly like it.
